ISN Preschool Ueda
Creature Capers (August 21–25)
This week, we worked very hard on preparing for our upcoming Sports Festival!
For our UOI Lesson, Mr. Jon wore dog ears and the children had to help him using various items. If he was cold, they got him a blanket. If he was hungry, they gave him dog food [instead of sweets]! It was fun discussing how we can be kind to animals. Afterward, everyone got to make their own dog ears!
Here’s a couple of photos of us playing in the water and at the nearby playground.
Here’s a few more cute photos from the week.
Rocket Class kept very busy this week with crafts and writing materials. These continued our studies of phonics, and our Unit of Inquiry: bugs.
This week we practiced our dances for Sports Festival! Every student loves to practice the dance. We’re looking forward to our performances! Here is the link to the song and dance, if you’d like to practice at home!
Our highlight of the week was our trip to the Insect Museum of Shinsyu! It was a very impressive museum, and the director took us on a guided tour of their many glass cases, and outside the museum to observe plants and small bugs!
Here are some more pictures from the week! It was another fun one!
